I’m not a fan of most store-bought dressings so I usually make my salad dressings from scratch. The basics of making any vinaigrette include having an acid (in this instance apple cider vinegar) and a good quality oil. Dijon mustard is used not only for it’s signature flavor but it also helps elmusify the viniagrette giving this dressing a creamy texture.
With a a classic maple mustard flavor profile and a few simple ingredients this salad dressing recipe is a secret weapon for adding a ton of flavor to your vegetables. This homemade Dijon maple salad dressing is quite versatile and can be used on any number of salad recipes including my Kale and Apple Salad, Beet and Burrata Salad and my Fennel and Apple Salad.
