This cocktail gets a triple dose of cherry flavor courtesy of cherry juice, maraschino cherry liqueur and maraschino cherries. With only a few ingredients you’ll want to make sure to seek out the best and Luxardo cherries and maraschino cherry liqueur is unparalleled. Maraschino liqueur is distilled using marasca cherries resulting in a clear spirit that is sweet with flavors of cherry and almond. For other delicious drinks take a look at my Cherry Blossom Gin Cocktail, Limoncello Martini or Apple Cider Martini.

Ingredients

  • Dark cherry juice
  • Vodka
  • Maraschino cherry liqueur such as Luxardo

How to Make a Cherry Martini

This cocktail is deleicious and incredibly easy to make. I recommend using dark sweet cherry juice for this drink, but you can also use tart cherry juice if that’s what you have (the drink will be less sweet with tart cherry juice). For a single drink add the cherry juice, vodka and maraschino cherry liqueur to a cocktail shaker with ice, shake until well chilled. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a maraschino cherry .

For a batch of cherry martinis add the cherry juice, vodka and maraschino cherry liqueur to a pitcher with ice, stir until well chilled. Strain into 8 cocktail glasses and garnish with maraschino cherries.
