What is Burrata?
Burrata is a fresh cheese from Italy made from cow’s or buffalo milk. An outer shell of fresh mozzarella is filled with cream and cheese curds and formed into a ball, it is typically found in containers packed in a light brine. To serve burrata allow it to come to room temperature to best enjoy it’s creamy texture. Be sure to try my Caprese Salad with Burrata for another simple Italian summer dish!
