Summertime calls for ease, afternoons spent lazing on the patio with a glass of rosรฉ in hand. This appetizer features creamy burrata with fresh summer cherries elevated with a dash of balsamic vinegar, and the best part is there is no cooking required. My Burrata with Balsamic Cherries is the perfect appetizer for those warm summer evenings.

This burrata with balsamic cherries is perfect for when you want something elegant but with very little effort. Serve this accompanied with grilled sourdough bread and salumi as part of a charcuterie board, or for one of my favorite summer meals pair it with my prosciutto wrapped shimp skewers for a light summer supper.

What is Burrata?

Burrata is a fresh cheese from Italy made from cowโ€™s or buffalo milk. An outer shell of fresh mozzarella is filled with cream and cheese curds and formed into a ball, it is typically found in containers packed in a light brine. To serve burrata allow it to come to room temperature to best enjoy itโ€™s creamy texture. Be sure to try my Caprese Salad with Burrata for another simple Italian summer dish!
