Baked brie is one of the easiest appetizers to make and looks elegant without a whole lot of effort. Dressed with a glaze of fig jam and a sprinkle of crunchy walnuts baked brie is ready for any celebration. Creamy and with a hint of sweetness this recipe for Baked Brie with Fig Jam takes just minutes to make and will be a hit at any party.

Brie is a go-to for any cheeseboard I make. This soft-ripened cheese originated in Seine-et-Marne, France and has a creamy, buttery texture that is irresistible. Brie has a soft, bloomy rind that is edible (and tasty). In fact in some circles scooping out the cheese and leaving the rind behind is considered a faux pas.

How to Make Baked Brie with Fig Jam

Baked brie is one of the simplest appetizers you can make. Preheat oven to 375 degrees then put the brie in baking dish (I really love this mini 6.5 inch cast iron skillet) and spread fig jam over top of the cheese. Place dried figs and chopped walnuts on top of the jam. Place the dish in the oven and bake for 15 minutes. Transfer dish to a wooden serving board. Serve with crackers, bread, or sliced apples.
