Filled with creamy goat cheese and wrapped in crispy prosciutto these dates are one of my favorite appetizers to make whether I’m hosting a party or making something for a pot luck. These little bites have just three ingredients but are big on flavor. Ingredients
- Medjool dates, pitted
- Goat cheese
- Prosciutto
Tips and Variations
- Customize your dates by using another cheese like boursin, manchego or a rich blue cheese like gorgonzola or stilton
- You can use Serrano ham or thinly sliced bacon in place of the prosciutto
- These dates are delicious as is but really shine with a drizzle of your favorite honey or an aged balsamic vinegar

How to Make Prosciutto Wrapped Dates
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. Using a paring knife cut across the top of each date lengthwise(taking care not to slice all the way through) forming a small pocket in each date.Using a butterknife place a small amount of goat cheese into the pocket of the date.


Cut or tear the slices of prosciutto lengthwise until you get 24 strips. Wrap a strip around each date and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

- Parchment Paper
Ingredients
- 24 medjool dates pitted
- 4 ounces goat cheese
- 5 ounces prosciutto sliced or torn into 24 slices
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
- Using a paring knife cut across the top of each date lengthwise(taking care not to slice all the way through) forming a small pocket in each date.
- Using a butterknife place a small amount of goat cheese into the pocket of the date.
- Cut or tear the slices of prosciutto lengthwise until you get 24 strips. Wrap a strip around each date and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the dates for 15 minutes or until the prosicutto is crispy. Serve as desired,feel free to garnish with a drizzle of honey, balsalmic glaze or a sprinkle of fresh thyme.
