Filled with creamy goat cheese and wrapped in crispy prosciutto these dates are one of my favorite appetizers to make whether I’m hosting a party or making something for a pot luck. These little bites have just three ingredients but are big on flavor. For more easy appetizers take a look at my mushroom puff pastry tart, whipped ricotta dip, whipped cranberry feta dip and pimento cheese devilled eggs.

Ingredients

  • Medjool dates, pitted
  • Goat cheese
  • Prosciutto

Tips and Variations

  • Customize your dates by using another cheese like boursin, manchego or a rich blue cheese like gorgonzola or stilton
  • You can use Serrano ham or thinly sliced bacon in place of the prosciutto
  • These dates are delicious as is but really shine with a drizzle of your favorite honey or an aged balsamic vinegar
