No place celebrates the art of “la dolce vita” quite like Italy and that certainly extends to Italian cocktails. Equal parts casual and elegant this limoncello martini is sure to transport you to the Amalfi coast. My limoncello martini is smooth, sunny and perfect for any celebration.

What is Limoncello

Limoncello is a sweet Italian lemon liqueur made by soaking thinly sliced lemon peels in an alcoholic base. While limoncello originated in southern Italy (the Amalfi coast, Sorrentino and the Isle of Capri this sweet aperitif is now beloved throughout Italy. Traditionally served neat in a cordial glass limoncello can also be used in cocktails ( like this limoncello martini or a limoncello spritz) or desserts like a limoncello tiramisu. Limoncello can commonly be found where you purchase liqueurs or you can make homemade limoncello.
