The Aperol Spritz is the perfect summer cocktail, and my frozen version is the ultimate warm weather sip. Sweet, citrusy and bubbly this frosty cocktail is refreshing and easy to make. My Frozen Aperol Spritz is a delicious twist on a classic Italian cocktail that you’re sure to love all summer.

What is Aperol?

Aperol is a popular Italian liqueur best known as the main ingredient of an Aperol Spritz. With a bright orange color, slightly bitter flavor and a low alcohol content (11%) Aperol is commonly consumed before dinner as an apertif but can be used in a number of cocktails (including my delightful Aperol Sour). This frozen version of the Aperol Spritz takes liberties with the classic spritz ratio (3:2:1 prosecco, liqueur and sparking water like you’ll find in my Limoncello Spritz and Hugo Spritz) but is utterly delicious.

Ingredients

  • mango chunks
  • Aperol
  • orange juice
  • prosecco

How to Make a Frozen Aperol Spritz

This Frozen Aperol Spritz is incredibly simple to make with your blender doing all of the work. In addition to Aperol and Prosecco I use frozen mango for a hint of sweetness and a smooth texture. Add the frozen mango, Aperol, orange juice and prosecco to a high power blender. Blend on medium high speed for 30 seconds or until smooth and fully combined. Pour into a coupe glass and garnish with an orange slice. This cocktail can easily be scaled to be made for a group.
