- Butter
- Garlic minced
- Kosher salt
- Ground black pepper
- Garlic powder
- Fresh rosemary
- Fresh thyme

Cooking Tips
- For additional creaminess you can stir in 1/4-1/2 cup of sour cream or Greek yogurt or a splash of milk to get you preferred texture
- Stir in a bit goat cheese or mascarpone cheese for creaminess and a tangy flavor
- Substitute the rosemary or thyme with your favorite fresh herbs like fresh parsley, fresh chives, sage or oregano
- You can use onion powder in place of the garlic powder if you’d like
How to Make Savory Mashed Potatoes
This savory sweet potato mash is a delicious and versatile side dish that’s easy to make. Peel and chop the sweet potatoes and place them in a large pot, fill the pan with water to cover the sweet potatoes by an inch.Bring them to a boil over medium-high heat and cook until fork tender, about 15-20 minutes.


Drain the sweet potatoes in a colander and return them to the pan. Mash the sweet potatoes with a potato masher and stir in the butter, minced garlic, garlic powder, rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper. Stir until the mashed sweet potatoes are smooth and the seasonings are fully incorportated. Serve as desired.
