How to Make Hot Honey Chicken Wings
Making crispy hot honey chicken wings at home in your oven is pretty easy thanks to a spice mix with baking powder.Whether you choose to brine your wings (take a look at my Chicken Wing Brine recipe) or bake them as is you are guarunteed extra crispy wings every time.

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. In a small bowl whisk together the baking powder, kosher salt, garlic powder and onion powder. Pat the chicken wings dry with a paper towel and place them in a large bowl. Add in the baking powder mixture and toss together ensuring the wings are thoroughly coated. Place the wings on a baking sheet lined with a wire rack. (I’ve included directions and baking times below whether you choose to bake these wings in a conventional oven or a convection oven).

To make the hot honey sauce add the hot sauce, hot honey and butter to a small sauce pan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer while stirring occasionally until the sauce is warm and fully incorporated. Transfer the wings to a large bowl and pour the sauce over the wings. Toss the wings ensuring they are fully coated with the sauce. Serve as desired.
