This recipe for baked ham with apricot glaze is incredibly easy to make and is a stunning main dish for holidays and special occasions. Perfect for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner this simple sweet-savory glaze is a great way add a ton of flavor to a simple roast spiral ham. While I recommend using a bone-in ham for flavor and moisture you can easily use a boneless ham for this apricot-glazed ham recipe.

The flavors of this glazed ham are highly versatile and go with nearly any side dish. - Brown sugar

Cooking Tips
- I recommend using a bone-in ham for flavor and moisture but you can also use a boneless ham for this apricot-glazed ham recipe.
- Use a digital instant read meat thermometer to make sure the ham cooks to the proper temperature
- You can change up the flavor of the glaze by changing out the preserves. Peach, cherry and pineapple would all be delicious!
How to Make Apricot Glazed Ham
Remove the ham from the refrigerator and allow to come to room temperature for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In a small saucepan add the apricot jam, dijon mustard, brown sugar, cinnamon and cloves. Whisk together and bring to a simmer over medium heat, ensuring all the ingredients are well combined. Remove the pan from the heat and divide into two portions, using one half to glaze the ham before baking and reserving the remaining glaze to use as a sauce when serving.

Place the ham in a roasting pan cut side down. Brush the glaze over the ham, ensuring you glaze inbetween the slices. Cover the ham with aluminum foil and bake for 90 minutes (ensuring the ham gets to an internal temperature of 145 degrees F with an digital meat thermometer). Increase the oven temperature to 425 degrees F and remove the aluminum foil, bake for an additional 10 minutes uncovered. Warm the reserved glaze in a saucepan or in the microwave for 15-20 seconds.
Transfer the ham to a serving platter and allow to rest for 15 minutes, serve with the reserved glaze.
How to Use Leftover Ham
One of the best parts of making a big ham for dinner is having tons of leftovers! This ham is delicious in sandwiches and salads of course, but I love using leftovers in recipes like my Ham and Cheese Scones and Ham and Asparagus Quiche.
You can store leftover ham in the refrigerator for 4-5 days, either in an airtight container or wrapped in platic wrap or aluminum foil. To freeze leftover ham make sure to wrap it in both plastic wrap and aluminum foil to prevent freezer burn. You can store your leftover ham in the freezer for up to 2 months.
