Blood oranges have a beautiful deep red color and are sweeter than traditional oranges with a berry-like scent and flavor. While delicious as is blood oranges make a great base desserts, condiments and of course drinks. Ginger makes a perfect match for blood orange juice and while I prefer the bite of ginger beer ginger ale is also delicious. If you want to turn this mocktail into a cocktail you can add 1-2 oz of rum, vodka or tequila.

Ingredients for Ginger Blood Orange Mocktail

  • blood orange juice (approx 1 blood orange)
  • lime juice
  • ginger beer or ginger ale
