Baked brie is one of my favorite party appetizers for any occasion. Easy to make, quick to prepare and effortlessly fancy baked brie works for casual get togethers, cocktail parties, holiday celebrations and everything in between. Gooey and melty, baked brie is great on its own but top it with a mix of toasty pecans coated in hot honey and it becomes divine. My baked brie with hot honey and pecans is easy to make and sure to be a hit at your next soiree.

Brie is a go-to for any cheeseboard I make. This soft-ripened cheese originated in Seine-et-Marne, France and has a creamy, buttery texture that I can’t get enough of. Can you eat the rind of brie? Totally! Brie has a soft, bloomy rind that is edible (and tasty!). In fact in some circles scooping out the cheese and leaving the rind behind is considered a faux pas.
How to Make Baked Brie
Baked brie is one of the easiest appetizers to make and looks very impressive with not much effort. Creamy, salty, crunchy, spicy and sweet baked brie with hot honey and pecans hits all the right notes. First off, you may be wondering “Do you take the rind off of brie before baking?”. Nope! This brie gets baked whole as is (making it even easier to prepare).

Place your wheel of brie on a baking sheet and pop it in an oven heated to 400 degrees and bake for 10 minutes. While the brie is baking heat hot honey (be sure to check out my homemade hot honey recipe) and pecans in a small sauce pan, stirring to combine. Transfer the brie to a serving board and top with the honeyed pecans.

Served this as a last minute dish for Easter Sunday brunch. I’ve never bought Brie before and wasn’t sure what to do with it but used this recipe and served it with toasted baguette that I purchased for half price.
My family decimated it but there was one person who’s reaction surprised me. Didn’t think he’d like it. Caught him in the kitchen after brunch using a spoon to scrape up the remnants making ooh and aah sounds!

This was super easy to make and was a huge party favorite!!! I baked the Brie a little too long so I was glad it was in a small square baking dish. Once I poured the pecan mixture over the top it didn’t matter that the Brie was super soft and runny. I served with crisp pita chips and it was delicious!!

I made this for our supper club last night and everyone loved it! I used chopped pecans and toasted them with a little salt and butter. I heated the cheese and then poured the hot honey over the cheese and then added the pecans on top. I served with animal crackers, apple slices, pear slices, a round wheat cracker, and a Raisin, Rosemary, Pumpkin Seed Cracker both from Aldi. It was a huge hit!

I love that! I’m a huge fan of the rain rosemary crackers too and I think that is a perfect pairing.
