Every holiday season I make a batch of cranberry simple syrup to add sweetness and a pop of color to tea, white hot chocolate, and of course cocktails like my Cranberry Old Fashioned. In addition to the cranberry simple syrup I add a double dose of citrus in the form of fresh orange juice and Cointreau. Add everything together with a smooth whiskey and you’ve got a festive, easy drinking cocktail.
