A girl can never have too many smoothie recipes as far as I’m concerned. Smoothies are quick, healthy and a great way to get in your daily servings of fruit and veggies. This smoothie uses fruit ( no added sugars or artificial sweeteners in sight ) and some Greek yogurt for some creaminess and a boost of protein. With just four ingredients this Cherry Ginger Smoothie with Greek Yogurt is a snap to make and a healthy start to your day.

Smoothies are great for breakfast or a snack and can be whipped up in no time. This Cherry Ginger Smoothie with Greek Yogurt is healthy and uses only four ingredients (heck, three of the ingredients are listed in the name) that are all easily found at your local supermarket. Utilizing frozen cherries means you can make this smoothie all year round with no pitting needed.

Cherry Ginger Smoothie with Greek Yogurt

All of the ingredients in this smoothie, aside from being delicious, have a lot going for them nutritionally. Greek yogurt is packed with protein, probiotics and calcium. Cherries are high in antioxidants and polyphenols, both of which are excellent for heart health. Ginger is also loaded with antioxidants and can help ward off symptoms of nausea. Last, but certainly not least, pineapple is rich in Vitamin C and has enzymes that aid in digestion. With so much to offer healthwise this cherry ginger smoothie is also super tasty to boot making it a great option for picky eaters (both kids and adults) to get some quality nutrition.

How to Make a Smoothie

  • Cherry Ginger Smoothie with Greek Yogurt - ingredients in blender
  • Cherry Ginger Smoothie with Greek Yogurt - pouring smoothie into a glass

This smoothie is a cinch to make, and thanks to the creamy texture from Greek yogurt you don’t need to add ice. Also, I use pineapple in most of my smoothies because it tastes amazing and its natural sweetness eliminates the need for any additional sweeteners. Pop all of the ingredients in a blender ( I absolutely adore this blender but this blender is also a great option), dial it up to medium high speed and blend until everything is all mixed together. Feel free to add some of your favorite supplements like protein powder, fiber, collagen or chia seeds. This recipe makes one 16 oz serving (perfect for a quick breakfast) or 2 8 oz smoothies (snack or small child sized).
