Equipment

  • 1 large mixing bowl
  • 1 8x8 baking pan

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries

For the glaze

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 strawberry, sliced

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment and set aside.
  • Melt the butter in a medium saucepan and transfer to a large mixing bowl. Add in the brown sugar, eggs and vanilla and whisk together. Stir in the flour, salt and baking soda until fully combined. Fold in the sliced strawberries and pour into the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake the blondies for 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is set. Transfer the pan to a wire rack and allow the blondies to fully cool.
  • To prepare the glaze combine the powdered sugar, lemon juice and strawberries. Allow the glaze to sit for several minutes or until it has turned pink, strain out the strawberries. Drizzle the glaze over the blondies.
  • Slice the blondies into 16 pieces (2 inch x 2 inch) and serve as desired.
