Peach Clafoutis

Equipment

  • 1 large mixing bowl
  • 1 large whisk
  • 1 10' round baking dish or skillet

Ingredients
  

  • cups milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup all purpose flour
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp kosher salt
  • 2 cups sliced peaches 2-3 large peaches

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350° F. Butter your baking dish or cast iron skillet and place it in the oven while it preheats.
  • In a large bowl whisk together the milk, eggs, sugar and vanilla extract. Add in the flour, cinnamon and salt and whisk until fully combined.
  • Carefully remove the hot baking dish from the oven. Add half the peaches to the baking dish and pour in the batter. Top with the remaining peaches.
  • Place the dish back in the oven and bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is puffy, golden brown and the custard is set. Cool slightly and serve topped with powdered sugar, whipped cream or ice cream.
