A classic French dessert the clafoutis consists of a golden, eggy custard baked with sweet summer fruit. This recipe for Peach Clafoutis is easy, delicious and the perfect end to any meal.
Preheat your oven to 350° F. Butter your baking dish or cast iron skillet and place it in the oven while it preheats.
In a large bowl whisk together the milk, eggs, sugar and vanilla extract. Add in the flour, cinnamon and salt and whisk until fully combined.
Carefully remove the hot baking dish from the oven. Add half the peaches to the baking dish and pour in the batter. Top with the remaining peaches.
Place the dish back in the oven and bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is puffy, golden brown and the custard is set. Cool slightly and serve topped with powdered sugar, whipped cream or ice cream.
