Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound Mexican chorizo
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 large onion diced
  • 2-3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 15oz package crushed tomatoes
  • 1 15 oz can black beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 15 oz can pinto beans
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bown mix together the ground beef and Mexican chorizo with your hands until fully combined and set aside.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat. Sprinkle in the smoked paprika, ground cumin and oregano and cook for 1 minute or until fragrant. Add the onions and garlic and cook for 3-4 minutes or until translucent. Add in the beef and chorizo mixture and cook until browned ,about 6 minutes.
  • Pour in the beef broth and crushed tomatoes as well as the black beans, pinto beans, salt and pepper. Bring the chili to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes. Ladle into bowls and serve as desired.
