How to Use Homemade Chocolate Sauce
Really, the number of ways to use chocolate sauce is limited only by your imagination. I love drizzling this chocolate sauce over ice cream, homemade chocolate waffles and stirring it into my coffee for a homemade mocha. This sauce would also be great on brownies, pound cake, or as a dip for strawberries or other fresh fruit. Also I have been known to enjoy a spoonful or two straight from the jar.
How to Make Homemade Chocolate Sauce
Like I’ve mentioned this chocolate sauce is incredibly easy to make, comes together in minutes and chances are you probably have all of the ingredients already. In a medium saucepan whisk together sugar, cocoa powder and salt. Stir in water until combined and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat and simmer for 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla. Let the sauce cool before transferring to a glass jar. Refrigerate for up to a month (if it lasts that long!).
