Brussels Sprouts are having a bit of a moment. Once maligned, long gone are the days of over-boiled, limp, tasteless sprouts. All Brussels sprouts need to shine are a few simple ingredients and a bit of time in the oven over high heat. The result is crispy, tasty little nuggets that give you a big flavor payoff with little effort. With just four ingredients and minimal work these easy roasted Brussels Sprouts may just become your new favorite vegetable side dish.

Whether you’re serving up a big holiday roast or need an easy side dish on a busy weeknight you can’t go wrong with a simple vegetable dish that delivers big on flavor. Think you don’t like Brussels sprouts? Give these roasted Brussels sprouts a try. Roasting Brussels sprouts turns them nutty, crispy, sweet and completely delicious. Roasting is also one of the healthiest ways to eat Brussels sprouts. Cooking Brussels sprouts in the air fryer also produces tasty results.

How do I roast Brussels sprouts?

Roasting Brussels sprouts couldn’t be easier. First start by trimming the Brussels sprouts and cutting them in half (if your Brussels sprouts are small you can leave them whole before roasting). Toss them in a large bowl with a bit of olive oil, salt (I recommend using kosher or sea salt) and black pepper. Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in an even layer into a hot oven and let them roast for 25 minutes. That’s it! Minimal effort and you’ve got a great vegetable side dish that belies just how simple it is to prepare.
