How to Make Sugared Cranberries
Making sugared cranberries is fairly easy but you will need to set aside some time to let the cranberries dry. Start by making a simple syrup by adding 1 cup sugar and the water to a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer, stirring to ensure the sugar dissolves. Remove from the heat. Add the cranberries to a large bowl and pour the sugar syrup over the berries. Allow to sit for 15 minutes.

Line a sheet pan with parchment paper. Transfer the cranberries to the baking sheet using a slotted spoon. Allow to cranberries to dry for an hour or until they are sticky to the touch.
Add the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar to a large bowl. Transfer the sticky cranberries to the bowl and toss to combine, ensuring the cranberries are coated with the sugar. Return the cranberries to the lined baking sheet. Allow the cranberries to fully dry, at least one hour. Serve as desired.
