Sugared Cranberries

  • 1 large bowl
  • 1 Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar divided
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries

Instructions
 

  • Add 1 cup of the sugar and the water to a medium pan. Bring to a simmer, stirring to ensure the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat.
  • Add the cranberries to a large bowl and pour the sugar syrup over the berries. Allow to sit for 15 minutes.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Transfer the cranberries to the baking sheet using a slotted spoon. Allow to cranberries to dry for an hour or until they are sticky to the touch.
  • Add the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar to a large bowl. Transfer the cranberries to the bowl and toss to combine, ensuring the cranberries are coated with the sugar.
  • Return the cranberries to the lined baking sheet. Allow the to fully dry, at least one hour. Serve as desired.
