1 cup milk dairy, almond, coconut or your favorite plant based milk 1.5 tsp matcha powder 1/4 cup boiling hot water 1 tbsp maple syrup or to taste 1/4 tsp vanilla extract optional
In a medium saucepan heat the milk until it just starts to bubble. Remove from heat, and if desired, froth with a handheld milk frother.
Place matcha powder, hot water, maple syrup and vanilla extract( if using) in a small bowl and whisk to combine.
Transfer matcha mixture to a mug and add the frothed milk. Sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
