Prepare dried pasta per package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and drain pasta.
While the pasta is cooking prepare the sauce. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and garlic and saute for 3 minutes. Add the corn and saute for 2-3 minutes.
Transfer vegetables to a blender, add 1/4 cup water, pesto salt and pepper and blend until smooth.
Return the sauce to the pan and add the pasta and reserved pasta water. Cook for 2-3 minutes while stirring, the sauce will thicken and coat the pasta. Add the tomatoes and cook for 1 more minute.
