Roasted Tomato and Green Onion Salsa

Make homemade salsa from scratch! This roasted tomato and green onion salsa is super easy and perfect as a dip for tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 roma tomatoes
  • 3 large green onions
  • 3 jalapeno peppers seeded
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup cilantro

Instructions
 

  • Preheat broiler on high.
  • Place tomatoes, green onion and jalapenos on the baking sheet. Broil for 5-10 minutes until the vegetables are charred. Make sure the oven door is open in order to keep an eye on the vegetables while they roast.
  • Place all the vegetables, 1/4 cup of cilantro and salt into the blender. Blend on medium high.
  • Place salsa into a container and stir in remaining cilantro.
