Crispy, sweet and spicy hot honey chicken tenders are perfect for everything from your game day party to every day dinner. This recipe for Hot Honey Chicken Tenders is easy to make and even easier to eat.
Add buttermilk and hot sauce (if using) in a shallow dish. Trim the tendons and fat from the tenderloins and place them in the buttermilk and marinate for at least 20 minutes or up to overnight.
Preheat to oven to 425 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Line up 3 shallow bowls or dishes. In the first bowl combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Add two beaten eggs to the second dish and then the panko breadcrumbs to the third dish.
Working one at a time coat the chicken tenders in the flour mixture and then dip in the eggs. Finally cover the tender with the panko bread crumbs and place on the baking sheet. Repeat the process with the remaining tenders and spray them with cooking spray. Bake to tenders for 20 minutes or until golden brown and the tenders reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
While the chicken tenders bake prepare the hot honey. Add honey and red pepper flakes to a saucepan. Bring this to a simmer over medium heat, remove from heat and stir in apple cider vinegar.
Drizzle the hot honey over the chicken tenders and serve as desired.
